75 years ago at 5 pm on 4th of September 1939 my grandfather Jan MORAWIEC was killed by the Nazis who invaded Poland.
He wasn't a soldier and he didn't have a gun in his hands. He was just a farmer and was killed on his own land in Lgoczanka village.
My grandmother Józefa lost not only her husband but also her home because their house and farm buildings were burnt. She had to be very strong and to find a place to live for herself and two sons ( one of them was disabled and couldn't walk).
My father was only 4-year-old-boy but he remembered the burning village, his dad's body lying on the ground and the soldiers with guns who told him to put his little hands up.
We mustn't forget our past and the history of our country.

Przejmująca historia! Podziwiam Twoją babcię!!! Musiała być naprawdę "very strong"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OdpowiedzUsuńŚwietnie, że to napisałaś! Czytałam z dużym zainteresowaniem i .... zrozumiałam wszystko!!!
