Wakacje się zbliżają ( no, może jeszcze nie tak szybko, ale kiedyś będą) a kieszonkowcy kochają turystów. Na stronie Daily Mail znajdziecie listę europejskich miast, w których jesteśmy najbardziej narażeni na stratę naszych portfeli. Zaspokoję od razu Waszą ciekawość - polskich miast nie wymieniono. Znajdziecie tam również rady, jak się zachowywać, aby nie paść ofiarą złodziei.

Roadmap.

Kolejne słowo-koszmar, zaśmiecające nasz język; MAPA DROGOWA, czyli żywcem przeniesione z języka angielskiego ROADMAP ( czasami taże ROAD MAP) jako synonim slowa plan, czy harmonogram.
Nie wiem czemu ludzie z upodobaniem używają takich dziwadeł językowych, zamiast mówić jasno, o co chodzi. Pleni się to paskudztwo jak chwast.

Australia Day.

Dziś święto narodowe Australii obchodzone na pamiątkę przybycia na kontynent pierwszych osadników w 1788 roku. Po siedmiu miesiącach podróży na 11 statkach (First Fleet), którymi dowodził kapitan Arthur Philip przypłynęło 1500 osób, ż czego niemal połowę stanowili wydaleni z Wielkiej Brytanii skazańcy.

Buckingham Palace through the keyhole

Google oferuje wirtualną wizytę po królewskim pałacu.

Ever wondered what it must be like to live in the Queen’s official residence, Buckingham Palace, if you can’t visit it yourself?

Well, a new virtual reality tour of the famous royal home is about to bring it to life.

The Royal Collection Trust, the charity which manages the historic building, has teamed up with Google Expeditions to take users on a free ‘virtual field trip’ of the palace from anywhere in the world, simply by using their smart phone, from today.

And while the Queen hasn’t had the chance to try out the experience for herself as she is still in residence at Sandringham, it is understood that she is aware of the project and has given it her seal of approval.

More than one in four dogs are depressed because they are lonely, a study has found.

Over 2.3million dogs are routinely left in solitude for five or more hours – despite vets advising four hours as the absolute limit, the research revealed.

And 465,000 pooches are never taken for a walk and as a result are at risk of mental health problems, according to the survey of 31,500 pet owners by vet charity PDSA.

Vets say a daily walk and meetings with other dogs are essential for the well-being of dogs, which are naturally sociable animals.

Co tam zima, albo zimna zima (cold winter) jak mówią Anglicy. W polskiej zimie zimno straszy już w nazwie tej pory roku.. Pomyślcie lepiej o lecie, lecie upalnym, sypiącym dmuchawcami.....
Od 4 stycznia Biuro Podróży Neckermann, należące do koncernu The Thomas Cook Group, prezentuje w polskiej telewizji sympatyczną reklamę z tańczącym chłopczykiem. Spośród trzech dostępnych na You Tube wersji polskiej, niemieckiej i angielskiej z przyczyn oczywistych prezentuje tę ostatnią.

Na co dzień widzę wielu ruchliwych chłopczyków, ale żaden mnie nie zachwycił tak jak ten, a to dlatego, że w czasie wakacji dziećmi muszą się zajmować ich RODZICE, a nie nauczyciele.
Zapewne wielu z Was wpadła w ucho towarzysząca reklamie muzyka. Mnie tez. Uruchomiłam więc mój research mind i zaczęłam szukać utworu i wykonawcy. Wyniki poszukiwań są raczej mizerne, ale dobre i to.

Dziś 71 urodziny obchodzi brytyjski piosenkarz ROD STEWART. Karierę muzyczną rozpoczął w latach sześćdziesiątych, sprzedał miliony płyt, a jego charakterystyczny głos znany jest na całym świecie.
Jak na weterana rocka przystało, Rod Stewart nie myśli o emeryturze, a rok 2016 zapowiada się dla niego bardzo pracowicie.

Pupils 'to memorise times tables by 11.

Każdy uczeń w Wielkiej Brytanii w wieku 11 lat ma znać tabliczkę

mnożenia NA PAMIĘĆ! Takie są decyzje brytyjskiego rządu. Nie ma żartów. Szkoły, które nie wyegzekwują tego od uczniów, będą pociągnięte do odpowiedzialności.
