Poland's painted village - ZALIPIE

Japończycy (the Japanese Association of Travel Agents) opracowali listę 30 najpiękniejszych europejskich miast i miasteczek. Warto zajrzeć, bo jest tam polska malowana wieś ZALIPIE. Trochę mi wstyd, bo Zalipia nie widziałam, a byłam za to w dwóch innych wymienionych na liście .

It was challenged to come up with 30 smaller destinations to promote to holidaymakers. This is what they came up with (and there's only one in Britain).

This village in southern Poland is best-known for its cottages decorated with intricate designs. The custom was reportedly begun by the women of the village more than a century ago.
